KLA Architects Ltd was formed in April 2008. Kate Andrews studied Architecture at Oxford Brookes University and completed the BA(Hons) degree (graduating with a 2:1) and Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture together with an additional Post Graduate Diploma in Built Resource Studies which enhances skills required to examine the feasibility of the redevelopment and re-use of inherent building stock. After completing her studies in 2000 Kate completed the Chartered Exams whilst working in Brighton in 2001 and became Chartered through the RIBA council in early 2002 and continued working in Brighton for five years at Deacon and Richardson Architects gaining experience in a variety of sectors, most notably in social housing and private residential. With 15 years’ experience in the building industry, projects range in size and sector including health, education, retail and restaurant sectors through to large house builders and developers and private residential.
